Christmas is just around the corner.  The lines at the store have gotten longer.  Traffic is crazy.  The hustle and bustle of the season abound.

With everything that is going on, I cannot help but to think of how blessed I am on a personal level. Is everything perfect in my life?  NOPE, not at all.  But I am overwhelmed and thankful by the thoughts of how wonderful it is to have a warm home, loving wife, loving family, food on the table, clean water to drink, freedom (that wasn’t free), the ability to take a breath, to be able to walk and communicate.

One thing is for sure, I am very appreciative of everything that I have been blessed with.  I am thankful for the sacrifices that my parents have made for me, and a wife that puts up with me. I am thankful for the soldiers that protect our country on a daily basis.

I look forward to spending time with my family and friends this Christmas. Nothing is more special than spending time with those you love, and with those who love you. Staci has always said that children spell love “TIME”. I am sure that a lot of us spell it the same way. Take some “TIME” and spend it with those you love.

Finally, I know that for some, this is a very tough time of year. My prayer is you will be surrounded by family and friends that will help take the sting out of the season. May you reflect fondly on the past, while forgiving the hurts that are there too.
